5230 is better 03 Sep 2011 By Shival Srivastav On flipkart.com i have been using this phone for almost an year now.will discuss the ups & downs ups 1. Large well lit display 2. Decent battery backup (lasts for 2 days with moderate use) 3.
Great themes & apps from ovi store 4. Camera is great - mentioned as 2mpx but works like 5 mpx in good light, you can take good 3x5 prinouts of the photos 5. Good music player with equaliser 6. Inbuilt browser is slow, but you can install opera mobile & it will work fine 7. E mail facilities are good - you can customise the phone to check for mails every 10 minutes 8. Comes loaded with facebook app - bonus for facebook addicts 9.
Nov 18, 2011 - Are you boared from one home screen? Themes credit goes to my friend nithi. Model: Nokia 5233, 5230 Supported RM's: R. Nokia 5233, also known as Nokia 5228 in some markets, is a Symbian-based smartphone launched by Nokia in 2010, and, by the time of its release, was Nokia's c.
Can use it as a modem via ovi suite 10. The keypad works as qwerty when phone held in landscape mode downs 1. The phone heats up with heavy use - if you surf the net for some 20-30 minutes or play games for long, the handset heats up like a toaster (many of my friends have this set, all have the same complaint) 2. NO 3G or GPS - spend sm 600-800 bucks more and you get its big bro '5230' which is 3G and GPS enabled 3. If you use the net frequently (i mean reading emails 4-5 times a day, music for some 30-40 minutes & checking your facebook a/c sm 4-5 times), the battery won't last for a day 4. Touch experience isn't that good - its irritating sometimes when the phone doesn't respond 5.
Symbian is dragging slow - load too much music & apps & the phone begins to hang 6. Delicate (all touch phones are) - my friend dropped it once and had to shell out some 1500 bucks on repair - so be cautious i will recommend that you get 5230 if you can spend sm 800 extra bucks and if your budget is 8-9k rs, forget buying nokia - get an android phone, you'll love it buy 5233 only if you are on a very tight budget (i was when i bought this) - the phone is a decent one in this range will give it 3 out of 5 hope the review was helpful.
